Founded in 1962, University of the Southwest (USW) is a private, four-year Christian university located in Hobbs, New Mexico. Regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the university offers undergraduate and graduate degrees both on-campus and online, and was recently ranked by U.S. News and World Report for ‘Top Online Education Programs’ and ‘Top Online Business Programs.’

Earn your degree on your schedule.

Between work, family, and all of life’s other commitments, earning a degree can be difficult to fit in to your busy schedule. University of the Southwest can help. Whether it’s a bachelor’s degree, post-graduate degree, licensure, or a single course, USW offers a flexible, online alternative to pursing your education.

Providing all of the resources of our brick-and-mortar university – including small class sizes, stellar faculty, and challenging curricula – USW Online offers you the convenience, quality, and affordability to help you achieve your goals.

At USW Online:

  • There are no charges for out-of-state tuition and no distance education or technology fees.
  • You will communicate with classmates and professors in a virtual environment with tools to support your learning style.
  • You can access your classes anytime, anywhere. Courses are delivered using the latest technology (Blackboard and CAMS-Enterprise course management, e/pop web conferencing and MediaCAST) to provide dynamic, interactive learning environments, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
